God’s objective: mankind’s redemption and salvation
Another purpose of prophecy is to urge REPENTANCE and offer everyone forgiveness through Jesus Christ’s suffering and death. This focus on BRINGING ALL PEOPLE TO REPENTANCE permeated the prophecies of the Holy Bible.
Jesus Himself said, “Thus it is written, and thus it was necessary for the Christ to suffer and to rise from the dead the third day, and that REPENTANCE and REMISSION OF SINS should be preached in His name to ALL NATIONS, beginning at Jerusalem” (Luke 24:46-47).
Through the prophet Isaiah, God reveals the fundamental problem that needs solving: “These people come near to Me with their mouth and honour Me with their lips, but their hearts are far from Me” (Isaiah 29:13).
God describes people as having “heart (s) of stone” – an unyielding attitude toward Him and His instruction. This hardheartedness leads us to lives of selfishness – of greed, envy and hatred – which bring us ever closer to the BRINK OF DESTRUCTION.
Bible prophecy, however, reveals how God will ultimately deal with this problem: ” l will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you; l will take the heart of stone out of your flesh and give you a heart of flesh. I will put MY SPIRIT within you and cause you to walk in My statutes, and you will keep My judgements and do them” ( Ezekiel 36:26-27).
Prophecy explains God’s plan to bring this change of heart – otherwise known as REPENTANCE AND CONVERSION – to ALL PEOPLE and solve the root problems that threaten to destroy us. So far only a few have repented and allowed their hearts to be converted through the Power Of God’s Spirit. THE REST OF HUMANITY must yet be brought to REPENTANCE and this change of heart.
To better understand prophecy, we must realize that, although God inspired the historically fulfilled and future aspects of prophecy for the benefit of all people, MOST PEOPLE’S HEARTS HAVE NOT CHANGED. Their attitude and actions reflect a hardened “heart of stone” (see Ezekiel 36:26 and Romans 8:7). To understand God’s dealings with humanity, we must not overlook this fact.
The Holy Bible likens God’s relationship to mankind to that of a father with His children. Children often disobey their fathers, rebelling against them and choosing actions that dissapoint and at times even anger them. But that doesn’t lessen a Father’s patience, hope and love for his children. Keeping this perspective in mind helps us understand Biblical Prophecies of God, as our Heavenly Father, relating to and interacting with us as His Children.
ONE WAY, ONE BLOOD, ONE SACRIFICE by ONE GOD incarnated into ONE MAN (Jesus Christ), to the SAVING of the HUMAN RACE via SALVATION ON THE CROSS!
There is absolutely no point to look elsewhere for the HOPE OF MANKIND. The Holy Bible has provided every necessary information needed since over FOUR THOUSAND YEARS, making it crystal clear right from the book of GENESIS, that without BLOODSHED NO SIN CAN BE FORGIVEN!
After the FIRST HUMAN COUPLE (Adam and Eve), broke God’s Laws in paradise, thereby loosing the INITIAL GIFT OF ETERNAL LIFE as purposed by God before the foundations of the earth, they discovered their nakedness and decided to cover themselves with fig leaves…
God Almighty had to shed THE FIRST BLOOD of an animal on His newly created earth, to not only make them appropriate clothing but also to show them the GRAVE CONSEQUENCES of their SINFUL ACTIONS, and the pattern of things that were to follow until their ERROR was CORRECTED through SALVATION!
(GENESIS Chapter 1 Verse 21) And unto ADAM also and his WIFE did the LORD GOD make coats of skins, and CLOTHED THEM!
Moving on to THE PASSOVER – This same process was also evident in the book of ( EXODUS Chapter 12 Verses 7&13) AND THEY SHALL TAKE OF THE BLOOD, and strike it on the two side posts and on the upper door posts of the houses, wherein they shall eat…
AND THE BLOOD SHALL BE A TOKEN UPON THE HOUSE’S where they are: AND WHEN I SEE THE BLOOD, l WILL PASS OVER YOU, and the plague shall not be upon you to destroy you when l smite the land of Egypt!
Here, the Children Of God
were being oppressed, so God INTERVENED by destroying all the firstborns of the wicked Egyptians, leaving only the ISRAELITES UNHARMED, because they adhered to God’s BLOOD PROTECTION PLAN!!!
To make this study short, l have decided not to quote all the ANIMAL SACRIFICES THAT WERE MADE THROUGHOUT THE HOLY BIBLE by the HIGH PRIESTS for the FORGIVENESS OF VARIOUS TYPES OF SINS on just a TEMPORARY BASIS. This continued right until the REFORMATION and the NEW TESTAMENT BY GOD HIMSELF IN A HUMAN FLESH (Jesus Christ), having to shed HIS OWN BLOOD after taking on Him all Human sins via THE CROSS.
He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for OUR INIQUITIES…(ISAIAH 53:5). JESUS was a PERMANENT and an EVERLASTING SUBSTITUTE/REPLACEMENT for the ANIMAL BLOOD SACRIFICES which could only cleanse your sins for just a year, and was definitely not sufficient to give you access to the Kingdom Of God!!!
Meaning, Christ has given you the PASSPORT TO HEAVEN, all you need to do is to honestly, truly and sincerely CLAIM IT in YOUR HEART AND MIND by BEING BORN AGAIN.
God being God, foretold His SALVATION PLAN for the ENTIRE HUMAN RACE, beginning with the Israelites, via the HOLY SPIRIT in the Old Testament book of (JEREMIAH Chapter 31 Verses 33-34) But this shall be the COVENANT that l will make with the house of Israel; After those days, saith the LORD, I WILL PUT MY LAW IN THEIR INWARD PARTS, AND WRITE IT IN THEIR HEART’S; and will be their God, and they shall be MY PEOPLE.
And they shall teach no more every man his neighbour, and every man
his brother, saying, Know the LORD: for THEY SHALL ALL KNOW ME, from the least of them unto the greatest of them, saith the LORD: for l WILL FORGIVE THEIR INIQUITY, and l will REMEMBER THEIR SIN NO MORE. Amen
The above verses confirms the HOLY GHOST being the ALPHA TEACHER of ALL THINGS PAST, PRESENT AND FUTURE, which will dwell WITHIN OUR BORN AGAIN BODIES after receiving Christ as our Lord and Saviour.
I conclude with (HEBREWS Chapter 9 Verse 28)
So Christ was once offered to bear the SINS OF MANY: and unto them that look for Him shall He APPEAR the SECOND TIME without sin unto SALVATION!!!
There is absolutely no need for EVIDENCE OR WITNESSES – THE SPIRIT OF TRUTH/THE HOLY SPIRIT OF GOD ALMIGHTY lives and operates inside the bodies of countless BORN AGAIN CHRISTIANS ALL AROUND THE WORLD.
